Mr.Ticehurst has recently retired from a Local Fire & Rescue Service after having completed 30 years service. Prior to retirement Mr. Ticehurst was looking after the Fire & Rescue Services interests on a £300 million pound new Hospital build within Scotland, currently (2009) the largest building project in Scotland.  Mr. Ticehurst is unique in that unlike many 'X' fire safety officers he has served within the Fire Safety specialist field for 23 years of his 30 years service. Among his latest roles Mr Ticehurst was responsible for Fire Safety enforcement in Falkirk District for a number of years.

COMPETENCY

Current legislation requires that Persons in control of relevant premises should ensure that any safety consultants engaged should be competent, Mr Ticehurst of Firehouse (Scotland) can demonstrate competence by virtue of knowledge, training and experience, having attended and passed numerous courses at both Scottish and UK National Officer Fire Training Schools.
